NOVÉ
This collection contains population tax records from Finland, from 1920. Records typically include the name of the individual, year of birth, relatives in the household and the place of residence. The images in this collection may also include tax information for the household and sourced from the National Archives of Finland (Kansallisarkisto).

The population tax records, known in Finnish as henkikirjat and in Swedish as mantallslängder, were compiled annually between 1809 and 1920. While originally intended for taxation purposes, these records now serve as valuable census-like documents covering a large portion of the Finnish population.

This 1920 tax list includes records from the following counties: Häme, Kuopio, Mikkeli, Oulu, Turku ja Pori, Uusimaa, Vaasa, and Viipuri. Most records are written in Finnish, though some counties used Swedish.

The index of this collection was produced by MyHeritage from scanned images of the original documents.
